It's not always fun to go to bed early, but when you're in middle school, you need all the sleep you can get. Depriving yourself of sleep can actually make the symptoms of depression much worse. Try to avoid staying up too late on a school night. That way, you can get the rest you need.
Learn Proper Relaxation Techniques
Middle school isn't the most relaxing place to be, especially with all the noise and chaos all around you. However, to help you overcome the feelings of depression that can consume you, it's important that you learn proper relaxation techniques. They will help you unwind and get back into control when everything seems like it is falling down around you. The best thing to do is find a quiet place to go for a few minutes so that you can get some deep breathing in. Find Someone To Talk With
